The Beloit College volleyball team put together its second-best offensive performance of the season hammering down 43 kills while posting an attack percentage of .235 in a sweep of Lawrence University (3-0: 25-23, 25-23, 25-15) Tuesday night in Flood Arena in Beloit.

The Buccaneers drew to even in the Midwest Conference with a 2-2 league record with the win while pushing the Vikings to 2-3 in the MWC.

Outside Eva Laun-Smith, middle Amanda Baran and right side Molly Muller sparked the offense from the get-go combining for 11 of the team's 12 kills in the first set.

Baran broke out in the second set with seven kills in 17 attempts while committing just one error, hitting .353 for the set.

In the third set, it was Laun-Smith's turn as she put down eight kills without committing an error in 13 attempts for a blistering .615 attack percentage.

For the match, Laun-Smith (16-14) and Baran (14-12) tallied double-doubles in kills and digs. Setter Paige Wimbrow registered 37 assists and added 11 digs for another double-double.

Defensively, libero Payton Carlock bolstered the backcourt with 16 digs. At the net, middle blocker Christy Melton held true to her position having a hand in five blocks. Muller added four block assists in the contest.

The Bucs return to Flood Arena to host Marian University in a non-conference matchup Wednesday at 7 p.m.
