The Beloit College volleyball team fell to Wisconsin Lutheran 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-14) on the road Tuesday night.
The Buccaneers came back from an early 10-1 deficit in the first set to pressure the Warriors but the Bucs ran out of time falling 25-20. WLC's offense improved in the second set and surged in the third for 20 kills in the final set.
Amanda Baran led Beloit with nine kills and added seven digs. Allison Faber stood tall at the net defensively recording one solo and four block assists in the contest.
Setter Paige Wimbrow found the Buc attackers for 14 assists and in the backcourt libero Payton Carlock posted 12 digs.
The Bucs open Midwest Conference action Saturday, September 29 at Monmouth College. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
