The Beloit College volleyball team fell to St. Norbert College 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-19) in the Buccaneers' final home match of the season Friday night. Senior Shelby Strehlow was honored as the team's lone senior before the start of the match.
The Bucs met a red hot Green Knights offense. SNC posted a .415 attack percentage for the game.Â
Beloit played arguably the best defense of the season with numerous hustle plays forcing long rallies especially in the third set.Â
Eva Laun-Smith led the Bucs offensively with 14 kills, her 14th match this season double-digit kills. She added three block assists at the net. Christy Melton tallied five assist blocks in the match.
Paige Wimbrow posted a double-double with 22 assists and 10 digs.Â
Beloit will wrap up the season on the road tomorrow with a 1 p.m. meeting with the Redhawks at Ripon College.
