The Beloit College softball team was swept in a pair of games at St. Norbert College in De Pere Wednesday. The Buccaneers lost a close 2-0 contest in the opener before falling 11-0 in five innings in the nightcap.
The opener was a defensive battle with runs crossing the plate in just one half inning. The Green Knights were able to push two runs across in the bottom of the second, one on a sacrifice fly and the other on a triple.
The defenses allowed just five baserunners the rest of the way.
The Bucs were unable to stifle a surging SNC offense in game two. The Green Knights plated five runs in the bottom of the first inning en route to the 11-0 shortened game win.
The Bucs are currently scheduled to host doubleheaders against Grinnell College Saturday and Cornell College Sunday. However, a poor weather forecast may change the upcoming schedule. Stay tuned for the latest information on schedule changes and updates.
