The Beloit College softball team dropped a pair of games at Illinois College Sunday afternoon. The Buccaneers lost game one 5-0 before falling in the nightcap 9-1 in five innings.

Two innings led to the Bucs' defeat, a five-run fourth in the opener and seven-run first inning in game two.

The Bucs tallied six hits in the first game, including two off the bats of Bree Swanson and Alyssa Boltik, but Beloit left eight runners on base in the contest.

Beloit was unable to come back from an early seven-run deficit in game two. Swanson continued a great weekend at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Emily Stapay was a perfect 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Boltik and Alyssa Morris suffered the losses in the circle for the Bucs.

Up Next: The Bucs are slated to host Lake Forest College Wednesday for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
