The Beloit College softball team wrapped up play in the Diamond 9 Sunkissed Games in Kissimmee, Florida Friday morning.
The Bucs fell to Springfield College (8-1) in six innings in their first game of the day followed by a 10-2 loss to Plattsburgh State in the nightcap.
Three Buccaneers extended streaks at the plate over Beloit's final two games Friday. Alyssa Morris has reached base safely in eight consecutive contests after posting a hit against Springfield and drawing a walk in the Bucs' matchup with Plattsburgh State. Alyssa Boltik extended her streak to seven of the last eight games and Ashley Lambert's streak is at six of the last seven after reaching safely in both games Friday.
Lambert, Emily Malarski and Emily Stapay each notched two hits in the Bucs' first game of the day combining for four RBI in the contest.Â
In the circle, Morris and Boltik suffered the losses in four and three innings of work respectively.
Beloit returns to the Midwest for a doubleheader at Rockford University on March 21. The Bucs' home opener is slated for a doubleheader against Midwest Conference foe Ripon March 31. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
