The Beloit College volleyball team was outhit 54-41 in a 3-1 (18-25, 2521, 25-12, 25-22) loss at Lawrence Saturday afternoon.
Amanda Baran hammered down 18 kills while committing just four errors for an attack percentage of .368 to lead the Buccaneers offensively.
Eva Laun-Smith added 11 kills and five block assists at the net. Setter
Paige Wimbrow ran the offense setting up the Beloit attackers on 36 kills. Defensively,
Jade Mosquera led the backcourt with 12 digs while
Regina Guehlstorf bolstered the Bucs' presence at the net with four assist blocks.
The Bucs will try to pick up their first league win Friday, October 18 in Beloit. The match is the first of a four-game home stand with Lake Forest visiting Flood Arena Tuesday, October 22 followed by a Friday matchup with Ripon and Sunday match against Monmouth.
