The Beloit College women's volleyball team was swept by Illinois College (25-19, 25-10, 25-17) Friday night as the Lady Blues improve to 5-1 in Midwest Conference play. 

The Buccaneers were efficient in the first set hammering down 15 kills while committing just three errors but the Lady Blues still held the attack advantage recording 18 kills and just two errors in the set. Beloit struggled to find a rhythm in set two as a few big runs from the service line gave IC a hefty advantage. The Bucs came back in the third set and mounted an early lead but the Lady Blues had the answer coming back for the sweep. 

Amanda Baran led Beloit at the net with 12 kills committing just two errors on 46 attack attempts. She added seven digs in the contest. Setter Paige Wimbrow tallied 23 assists and also added seven digs. Eva Laun-Smith and Jade Mosquera led the backcourt for the Bucs with 12 and 11 digs respectively. Defensively at the net, Aryssa Harris registered a solo and two block assists to lead Beloit. 

The Bucs, still looking for their first league win, will host Lake Forest, currently 0-3 in MWC play, Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. Beloit will wrap up the four-game home stand with two matches next weekend. The Bucs host Ripon Friday and the seniors will be honored Sunday afternoon in the Bucs' final home game of the season.
