The Beloit College men's soccer team lost a hard fought battle at Illinois College 2-1 Sunday afternoon.
The Bucs held an advantage in shots (14-12) and corner kicks (14-4) but the Blue Boys were able to get on the board twice in the first half and held on for the win.Â
IC's first goal came in the 19th minute and the Blue Boys added another in the 25th minute taking a 2-0 lead into the intermission.Â
That score held until the final five minutes of the contest despite a red card on a Buccaneer in the 82nd minute that forced Beloit to play down a person the rest of the way. In the 86th minute,

The Bucs had one more set offensive opportunity with a corner ick in the 89th minute but were unable to capitalize.Â
Beloit will return home to host Ripon College Saturday, October 26. The Buccaneer seniors will be recognized at the game. Kickoff is slated for 1:30.Â
