The Beloit College women's basketball team fell to Ripon College 76-49 in the Midwest Conference opener Wednesday in Flood Arena.
The Buccaneers shot 30-percent from the floor compared to Ripon's 48-percent. Much like the men's game that took place right before the women's contest Wednesday, the story of the game took place in the lane. The Red Hawks held a 40-14 advantage on points in the paint and a 22-0 nod in second chance points bolstered by a 46-19 advantage in rebounds.
Kelly Loudon notched a game-high 20 points bolstered by a 12-14 performance from the charity stripe. She added five rebounds, two assists, three steals and a blocked shot.
Lauren Glaser added 15 points and two assists in the contest.
Up Next: The Buc women's squad will head to Appleton to face Lawrence University Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
