The Beloit College women's lacrosse team fell to Carroll 18-1 to open the season under the lights on the road Friday.

Kieran Rodning scored the lone goal for the Buccaneers. Rodning found the back of the net unassisted at the 23:26 mark of the first half.

The Pioneers attacked quickly scoring just 19 seconds into the contest and again less than two minutes in while their defense stymied the Bucs' offense.

Rodning scored on her only shot of the game adding three groundballs in the contest. Melinda Balades also tallied three groundballs to tie Rodning for team-high honors in the game.

Alexa Arakelian registered 15 saves in the complete 60 minutes in net.

Up Next: The Bucs originally had a game scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at Cornell but field conditions have forced a postponement of that contest with a make-up yet to scheduled. Beloit will host Concordia University-Wisconsin in their home opener Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at Strong Stadium.
