The Beloit College women's lacrosse team fell to Concordia University Wisconsin 11-8 in the Buccaneers' home opener Thursday evening.

Beloit got on the board first as Sy Dragon beat the Falcon keeper finding the back of the net less than five minutes in. CUW responded with a goal at the 23:05 mark.

Dolcimascolo tallied her first goal of the game off an assist from Olivia Nasatir to reclaim the lead for the Bucs less than a minute later but the advantage lasted less than two minutes as the Falcons notched the equalizer with 20:48 showing on the clock.

CUW scored the next four to make it 6-2 before Nasatir and Dolcimascolo connected again at the 6:37 mark to wrap up the first half scoring.

The Falcons recorded the first three goals of the second half to make it 9-3 when the Bucs began to mount a comeback. Dolcimascolo got the run started with a goal at 18:51 and set up teammate Kieran Rodning less than a minute later to make it 9-5. Dolcimascolo struck again with just under 15 minutes to go to pull Beloit to within three, 9-6.

The run was halted by CUW with a score just 10 seconds later but the Bucs continued to press offensively. Katie LaCost notched her first goal in unassisted fashion with 8:22 remaining. Rodning added another with a player advantage at 6:27 to make it 10-8 when the offenses went cold.

Concordia Wisconsin posted the final goal of the game with just 37 seconds to go.
