The Beloit College men's lacrosse team fell to Benedictine University 22-3 on the road Wednesday evening.
The Buccaneers scored in three periods but were unable to come back from an eight-goal first quarter for the Eagles.
Steven Soli got the Bucs on the board finding the back of the net at the 8:24 mark of the second off an assist from
Ezra Rogers. In the third it was
Michael Boyland entering the scoring column for Beloit on an unassisted score with just 14 seconds remaining in the quarter. Boyland had a hand in Beloit's fourth quarter goal setting up
Mark Gannon on a man-up goal with just over four minutes remaining.
Keeler Tardiff led the Bucs with six groundballs as
Olaf Sorenson and Rogers each caused three turnovers.
Corbin Odom was 11 of 28 faceoffs in the game.
In goal,
David Kunczynski made 16 saves in the contest.
