The Beloit College women's volleyball team opened the 2019 season with two dominating wins in sweeping fashion. The Buccaneers topped Martin Luther College 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-15) in the opener of the Buc Blast followed by a 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-15) sweep of Northland College. Click

In Beloit's opener
Eva Laun-Smith and
Amanda Baran led the offense each posting double digit kills in the match. Laun-Smith added eight digs to her match-high 11 kills while Baran tallied seven digs and 10 kills.
Paige Wimbrow ran the offense dishing out 24 assists in the match and libero
Jade Mosquera led the backcourt with 14 digs.
Molly Muller added a match-high three block assists at the net defensively.
Muller was the Bucs' top hitter in match two with 10 kills in 21 attempts while committing just two attack errors. She added a block assist in the match. Laun-Smith added eight kills bringing her day total to 19 while Baran's jumped to 17 with seven kills in match two. Wimbrow set up the Buc attackers with 28 assists and led the Beloit defense with 17 digs. Four Bucs notched double figure digs in the contest.
Beloit will wrap up play in the Buc Blast with two matches Saturday. The Bucs open against Kalamazoo College at 11 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. matchup with Olivet College.
