The Beloit College men's soccer team fell to Augustana College 3-0 in Rock Island, Illinois Saturday evening.
The Vikings opened the scoring in the third minute on a flurry of action in front of the Buccaneer goal.
Luis Rodriguez was able to make the initial save but Augustana capitalized on the rebound to take a 1-0 lead. A penalty kick for the Vikings in the 22nd minute led to a second goal for Augustana.
AC added a third goal on the other side of intermission for the 3-0 final.
It was a choppy game from the onset as almost 40 fouls were called and six yellow cards issued.
Offensively for Beloit,
Andrew Marchesi,
Solvi Gunderson and
Jackson Rogers recorded a shots on goal. Rodriguez tallied two saves in the complete game in goal for the Bucs.
