The Beloit College men's soccer team battled to a double overtime tie with Rockford University Thursday at the Strong Soccer Complex in Beloit.
The defenses were stellar as the teams combined for 48 shots including 18 on goal but neither team was able to beat the opponent's keeper. Each team had set play opportunities with 22 combined corner kicks and 37 combined fouls but the defenses still prevailed.
Nine yellow cards and a red card were also issued in the game.
Beloit's
Deji Agunbiade and
Conor Waldron each posted two shots on goal for the Bucs.
Andrew Marchesi and
Drew Landoch also registered shots on goal but were each turned away by the Regents keeper.
Luis Rodriguez recorded the complete game in net posting 10 saves in the contest.
The Buccaneers will face Lakeland Saturday at 1 p.m. in the team's final non-conference game before opening league play against Cornell College on Saturday, September 28 at 1:30 p.m. in Beloit.
