The Beloit College volleyball team wrapped up the Blue Angels Bash hosted by Mount Mary University in Milwaukee with two more wins Saturday to go 4-0 at the tournament.
The Buccaneers opened the day with a four-set victory over Eureka College (25-21, 22-25, 26-24, 25-9).
Amanda Baran and
Eva Laun-Smith bolstered the Buc offense combining for 25 kills. The pair also led the defense with 18 and 16 digs respectively.
Paige Wimbrow found the Beloit attackers for 42 assists in the victory.
Beloit followed with another four-set win against North Central University (Minn.) (13-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-17) in the afternoon. The power combination of Laun-Smith and Baran teamed up for 30 kills from the outside in the match.
Regina Guehlstorf led all players five assist blocks in the contest and
Jade Mosquera led the backcourt with 24 digs. Wimbrow added another 33 assists to her total for the day.
The Bucs will head to Fond du Lac to take on Marian University Wednesday, September 10 at 7 p.m. before going north once again for the Ripon Tournament next weekend.
