A rainy day at the Strong Stadium Complex ended in a loss for the Buccaneer women's soccer team Sunday afternoon. Beloit fell to Carroll University 3-0 in the contest.
Despite the score, the game did not seem like a 3-0 loss for the Buccaneers. In a series of rather unfortunate events, Beloit's keeper made a good play on a corner kick into the box raising up in an attempt to punch the ball out but the ball struck a Pioneer near the keeper and caromed back into the goal for the first score of the game.
That was all the Pioneers would need in the contest.
Bucs' keeper
Audrey Ketterer turned away ten shots on goal in the game.
Beloit will head on the road to Rock Island, Illinois for their next contest, a 1:30 p.m. meeting with Augustana College on Saturday, September 14.
