The Beloit College women's basketball team struggled offensively in an 81-48 loss at Illinois College Saturday. The Buccaneers shot under 30-percent from the field, just 20-percent from three-point range and 43-percent from the charity stripe.
The Lady Blues took advantage of their home rims shooting nearly 50-percent from the floor, 35-percent from long range and 64-percent from the free throw line. IC also took advantage of their size outscoring Beloit 34-18 in the paint.
T'Aira Boyance led the Bucs with 13 points adding four steals and two blocks in the game.
Lauren Glaser joined her fellow guard in double figures with 10 points adding five assists and two steals.
Christy Melton was the most active Buc on the glass with eight rebounds while
Kelly Loudon added seven.
Beloit will return home to host St. Norbert College in Flood Arena Wednesday, January 15. Tipoff will follow the men's game at approximately 7:30 p.m.
