The Beloit College women's basketball team fell to the top team in the Midwest Conference, Ripon College, 67-49 Tuesday night on the road.
The Buccaneers had the bookends Tuesday night hanging within three points of the Red Hawks but struggled offensively in the middle two quarters. Ripon, boasting an unblemished record in league play this season, outscored Beloit 38-19 in the second and third quarters combined to take the determinant lead.
Christy Melton and
Kelly Loudon each posted 11 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bucs.
Lauren Glaser pitched in nine points and added two assists in the game.
Beloit opens up a three-game homestand Saturday hosting Lawrence at 3 p.m. The Bucs will host Knox and Illinois College for a weekend in the Flood Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
