The Beloit College men's basketball team fell to St. Norbert College, ranked No. 23 in the latest D3hoops.com poll, 66-43 Wednesday in De Pere.
The Buccaneers struggled to get going offensively against a stifling Green Knights defense. Beloit shot under 30-percent from the field in the game, less than 25-percent from three-point range and under 60-percent from the charity stripe while SNC forced 17 turnovers in the contest that turned into 21 Green Knight points.
St. Norbert shot over 40-percent from the floor, 30-percent from downtown and were a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line. The Green Knights also limited their turnovers to just seven allowing the Bucs to score eight points off takeaways.
Andrew Walters led Beloit with a double-double dropping in 10 points while leading all players on the glass with 16 rebounds. He also tied for game-high honors with three assists.
Tristan Shoup was a point shy of the double-double hauling in 10 boards.
The Bucs will head south to Knox College Saturday (1 p.m.) before wrapping up the 2019-20 regular season on their home court against Grinnell (Feb. 18) and Cornell (Feb. 22).
