The Beloit College men's soccer team created more offensive opportunities but were edged by Lawrence University 3-2 on the road Wednesday afternoon.
The Buccaneers out-shot the Vikings blasting 19 shots including six on frame while Lawrence tallied 10 shots, five on goal, in the contest.
Lawrence opened the scoring early in the game getting on the board in the 7th minute. That was all the scoring the first half would produce.
The second half was a flurry of offensive action.
Patrick Casola registered the equalizer beating the Viking keeper for his third goal of the season just five minutes into the second half.
Lawrence answered in the 55th minute and added a third goal in the 59th to take a 3-1 advantage. In the 68th minute,

Edgar Caracoza for a score to narrow the gap to one but that was the last of the scoring.
Brock Bidwell went the distance in net registering a save in the contest.
