The Beloit College men's soccer team dropped a Midwest Conference matchup to a surging Lake Forest squad 4-1 on the road Wednesday evening.
With the win, the Foresters have won their last three games including two in league play. Meanwhile the Buccaneers are now 1-2 in conference action.
Lake Forest's efficient offensive attack put the pressure on the Beloit defense from the onset. The Foresters found the back of the net in the 11th minute before heading into the intermission with a 3-0 lead.
Shortly into the second half, LFC extended its advantage to provide a cushion and put the game out of reach. However, the Bucs continued to battle getting on the board in the 79th minute. The goal came from forward
Conor Waldron, his third of the season.
A pair of Beloit keepers saw time in net with
Brock Bidwell and
Clark Woodard combining for five saves in the contest.
