The Beloit College football team fell to Knox College 42-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers had a tough time stopping the Prairie Fire's quarterback, running back duo of Kaile Williams and Hunter Anderson who accounted for 36 of Knox's 42 points.
Beloit's
Jacob Shafer captained the offense completing 17 passes for 113 yards on 30 attempts including a 38-yarder to
AJ Fitzpatrick. From the backfield,
Lorenzo Power led the Bucs with 58 yards on nine carries bolstered by a 32-yard scamper.
Fitzpatrick was Shafer's favorite target on the day, reeling in six catches for 56 yards.
Defensively,
Gavin Thorpe tallied a team-high six solo tackles. Meanwhile,
Nathaniel Biggs and
Raydarriuz Kelley registered tackles for losses in the contest.
Fitzpatrick and Powe were key in the return game combining for 95 yards on four returns with long returns of 29 and 24 yards respectively.
