The Buccaneer women's basketball team shot well from the floor but couldn't keep pace with Waldor's hot-hand from beyond the three-point arc in an 81-65 loss in Minneapolis, Minnesota Saturday afternoon.
The Bucs shot 48-percent from the floor hitting 22 of their 46 shots. Although Waldorf was just slightly better from the field, the difference came from downtown as Waldorf knocked down 56-percent of their long range shots (12-22) in the contest.
T'Aira Boyance led a four-Buc contingent in double figures with 17 points bolstered by nine made free throws.
Elizabeth Kalk added 16 points, a pair of steals and two assists.
Addyson Ciochon was 4-7 from the floor for 11 points adding a team-high six boards.
Hadja Bayo rounded out the double digit Bucs with 10 points on a perfect 5-5 from the field.
Hannah Welte had a fantastic game defensively putting the pressure on the Waldorf ball-handlers and registering a game-high seven steals.
