Lexy Olson registered career days to lead Beloit to an 80-63 win over Eureka College on the road Saturday afternoon. Kalk tallied her first career collegiate double-double with 22 points and 10 boards adding seven steals in the contest. Olson posted 22 points bolstered by 5-9 from three-point range, 6-13 from the field and 5-6 from the charity stripe in the win.
The Bucs scored the last six points of the first quarter to erase an early deficit and take the lead, 14-13, heading into the second period. Eureka responded with a 29-point second quarter to reclaim the lead 42-33 at the break.
Not to be outdone, Beloit posted one of the most efficient, highest-scoring 10-minute periods since the collegiate game transitioned to four-quarter play dropping in 38 points in the third. The Bucs' defense held Eureka to just 14 points in the quarter to take a massive advantage, 71-56, and essentially seal the victory.
With 34 points off the bench, Beloit spread the wealth in the game with eight Bucs getting into the scoring column.
Christy Melton also picked up a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds in the game.
Hannah Welte rounded out the double figure scorers for Beloit with 16 adding four assists.
