The Beloit College men's basketball team opened the 2021-21 campaign with a 79-69 road win at Martin Luther College Friday night.
The Buccaneers were efficient offensively hitting 45-percent of their shots from the floor and taking a 17-8 advantage in fastbreak points.
Beloit was led by
Michael Polakoski's 25 points on 7-14 from the field and 9-12 from the charity stripe.
Azeez Ganiyu had a phenomenal collegiate opener nearly tallying a triple double. The powerful forward registered 19 points on 8-9 from the floor, 10 boards and six blocks.
Brian Rusch rounded out the double digit scorers with 16 points bolstered on 4-8 from three-point range.
Andrew Walters led all players hauling in 13 rebounds, dishing out five assists and grabbing three steals.
The Bucs wrap up their season opening weekend at Crown College tomorrow afternoon. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m.
