Following a fantastic season opening win at Martin Luther College Friday night, the Beloit College men's basketball team dropped their second outing in Minnesota on the weekend with a 90-62 loss at Crown College Saturday.
Crown put up a big first half shooting over 50-percent from the floor while the Bucs were just 33-percent to take a 47-25 advantage into the intermission. Beloit improved to 40-percent shooting efficiency in the second half but Crown maintained their pace downing half of their shots in the final period of play.
Crown also held a hefty advantage on points in the paint 46-22 while Beloit carried an 18-11 sway in second chance points.
Michael Polakoski led Beloit with 22 points bolstered by four three pointers.
Brian Rusch also nailed four from downtown en route to a 12 point performance.
Andrew Walters picked up a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards adding eight assists in the contest.
