The Beloit College softball team dropped a doubleheader to Lake Forest College in a pair of shortened games Saturday afternoon. The Foresters took game one 13-0 and the nightcap 17-2. Both games went five innings.
Lake Forest had the hot bats from the get-go taking early leads and holding them in both contests. The Buccaneer offense struggled to get into a groove against the LFC staff and were held to just six hits in the doubleheader.
Maddie Moser and
Alyssa Morris each registered hits in the opener.
Kaitlynn Taft led the Buc offense in game two going 2-3 at the plate while
Isabel Johnson and
Emily Stapay also tallied hits. Taft added a run scored and an RBI in the game.
Maddy Pfortmiller suffered the loss in both games in the circle to move to 9-4 on the season.
Beloit will look to bounce back Sunday hosting Knox for another twinbill starting at 1 PM.
