The Beloit College women's soccer team added a tally in the win column Friday evening topping Wisconsin Lutheran College 4-0 in the team's first game at the Strong Stadium Complex in Beloit this season.
Following back-to-back ties in the Bucs' first to outings of the season, everything clicked for Beloit against the Warriors.
Makenna Downing interrupted a relatively quiet first half with the first score of the contest in the 20th minute.
Mikaila Davis put everything in motion serving the ball into the box from the left side perfectly so Davis could easily redirect into the bottom right corner of the goal with her right boot.
The flood gates opened for the Buccaneer offense in the second half. In the 59th minute, a Beloit corner served into the box bounced around off a few Warriors before
Christy Melton cleaned it up and found the back of the net.
Twelve minutes later
Alayna Furch found
Abigail Membrino to make it 3-0 and in the 82nd minute both
Audrey Peasley and
Dakota Thompson registered assists on
Cailee Smith's goal that rounded out the scoring.
Audrey Ketterer and
Briana Arteaga each recorded 45 minutes in goal for Beloit combining for three saves in the contest.
