The Beloit College women's soccer team opened Midwest Conference play with a 3-0 win over Ripon College in Beloit Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers dominated the entirety of the contest. Beloit blasted 29 shots in the game including 11 on frame while the defense was stifling, keeping the Red Hawks from even a single shot on goal.
Despite the dominating performance throughout, it wasn't until the second half when the scoreboard moved off of 0-0.
Natalie Ortiz sparked the scoring flurry with a goal in the 73rd minute. Just five minutes later
Sydney Hukin found the back of the net. Finally, in the 86th minute,
Mikaila Davis entered the scoring column beating the Ripon keeper with
Lorraine Pedroza tallying the assist.
Audrey Ketterer and
Daisy Kleinhoffer split time in goal for the Bucs with Ketterer picking up the win.
