JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - For the third time this season, the Beloit men's soccer team ended a conference game in a tie, playing Illinois College to a 1-1 draw. Illinois College held the shot advantage, 16-9.
Illinois College (8-5-2, 1-3-1 MWC) wasted little time getting the scoring started, as Tyler Schiltz did the honors with his seventh goal of the season in the seventh minute.
Beloit (2-7-3, 1-1-3 MWC) waited until the 65th minute during the second half to tie the score, with
Grady Spencer scoring on an assist from
Devin Brog.
Brock Bidwell recorded four saves in 90 minutes at Goal Keeper for Beloit. Illinois College Goal Keeper Caleb Fink made three saves in his 90 minutes of action.
The Buccaneers will be in action again on Saturday for Senior Day when they'll host Monmouth College. That game will begin at 11 a.m. at Strong Complex Soccer Field in Beloit, Wis.
