BELOIT, Wis. - In a battle of conference unbeatens Wednesday afternoon, Lake Forest defeated Beloit 1-0, handing the Buccaneers their first conference loss of the year. The Foresters also out-shot Beloit 13-9 on the day.

After a scoreless first half, the game's only goal came in the 55th minute as Anna Gracia netted her sixth goal of the season on an assist by Alyssa Xanos.

Beloit Goal Keeper Audrey Ketterer made five saves while playing all 90 minutes between the pipes. Her counterpart, Maggie Kersting, recorded two saves for Lake Forest (7-3-3, 4-0-0 MWC) in the shutout.

The Buccaneers (4-2-2, 2-1-0 MWC) will be in action again on Saturday when they'll travel to Grinnell College. That game will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Grinnell, Iowa.
