GRINNELL, Iowa - Beloit battled conference-leading Grinnell College to a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon, to remain in the thick of the race for a spot in the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament. Grinnell, which entered the contest without a loss or tie on their conference record, held a 19-7 shot advantage.
Both goals in the game came in the first half, with Beloit (2-7-2, 1-1-2 MWC) striking first on
Jackson Raycroft's first goal of the season, coming in the 30th minute. Seven minutes later, Grinnell knotted the score up at one when Antonio Bernardo scored his first goal of the season.
Brock Bidwell played all 90 minutes at Goal Keeper for the Buccaneers, making 10 saves. His counterpart, Jefferson Kolmer made six saves for Grinnell.
Beloit will be in action again on Sunday, October 16 when they'll travel to Illinois College. That game will begin at 11 a.m. in Jacksonville, Ill.
