BELOIT, Wis. - Beloit's two-game win streak came to an end Friday night, as the Buccaneers women's basketball team lost to Eureka College 90-72 in a non-conference battle. Eureka shot 47 percent (28-60) in the game, while Beloit converted on 43 percent (27-63) of their shots.

Beloit's T'Aira Boyance scored the first basket of the game, but Eureka (1-2) then rattled off eight consecutive points. The Buccaneers (2-3) would cut that lead in half later in the opening quarter, before Eureka built a 19-11 lead entering the second period. The Red Devils would lead by double digits in that quarter, while taking a 41-32 lead into halftime.

The Buccaneers cut that lead to six on a layup by Oceanna Estrada in the third quarter, but Eureka answered with a 21-9 run to take an 18-point advantage into the fourth and final quarter.

Boyance led Beloit with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, to go along with four rebounds and three assists. Hannah Welte added 15 points and five rebounds, while Addyson Ciochon and Megan Thompson each scored 10 points, to go along with six and seven rebounds, respectively.

Eureka was led by Sydney Hannam's game-high 23 points. Savanah Moore added 16 points, while Shakaya Rogers and Abby Slotier scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Beloit will try to get back to their winning ways on November 27 at Rockford University. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Rockford, Ill.
