The Beloit College track and field program competed at the Margaret Bradley Invitational hosted by the University of Chicago Saturday.
Emiliano Reyes highlighted the day for the Buccaneers with a runner-up finish in the shot put with a heave of 12.33. Teammate
Steven Hall added a top six finish in the event.
The Bucs recorded a number of bronze finishes on the day.
Montana McMahon was clocked in 11.08 in the 60 hurdles.
Alayna Furch was also third in the 400 with a time of 1:02.67. McMahon was sixth in the event.
Ajani Joseph tallied a bronze for the men in the 60 crossing the line in 7.24. In the 200,
Jordyn McDonald was clocked in 27.11 for third in the 200. Furch was fourth and
Rose Loos-Austin was sixth in the event. Reyes added another top three finish in the weight throw registering a distance of 13.52 meters in the weight throw. Gabriel Cabrera and
Chase Nelson finished fourth and sixth in the event respectively.
Diontia Charles wrapped up the third-place finishes with a leap of 5.73 meters in the long jump.
Ahmasi Martin was fifth and
Josh Schilling was sixth in the event.
Other top six finishes included Alex Atou (5th, 400), McDonald (4th, 8.27), Joseph (5th, 200), Martin (6th, 200),
Aspen Valentine (5th, 800), Loos-Austin (4th, long jump), and
Darcel Royster (5th, long jump).
The Buc men's 4x400 relay combination of Atou,
Onix Diez,
Aiden Cortinas, and
Brandon Joly recorded a time of 3:40.23 to take bronze in the event.
