BELOIT, Wis. – The NCAA has officially announced the field for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, and two Beloit College Buccaneers have punched their tickets to the national stage. Senior Nate Otis (Shoreview, Minn.) and junior Joshua Martinez (Beloit, Wis.) have both qualified to compete. The championships will be hel May 21-23, 2026.
The championships will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at the Roger Harring Stadium at Veternas Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Otis enters the national meet as one of the top hurdlers in the country. Otis secured his spot with a blistering performance at home at the Beloit Relays, where he clocked a personal-best time of 52.74 That mark ranks him 19th in a highly competitive field of 22 qualifiers.
Otis is scheduled to begin his quest for a national title in the 400m Hurdle prelims on Thursday, May 21, at 4:25 p.m. Should he advance, the finals for the event are set for Saturday, May 23 at 2:25 p.m.
Martinez will represent the Buccaneers in the field events. Martinez earned his qualification in the Discus after a historic season in which he repeatedly broke school records. His qualifying toss of 52.21 at the Steve Scott Invitational solidified his position as the 14th-ranked thrower in the nation.
Martinez is set to compete in the Discus finals at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
For Otis, this marks his second-straight trip to the Outdoor Track and Field Championships, while Martinez makes his debut.
