The Beloit College track and field program headed north to compete in the Red Hawk Invite hosted by Ripon College Saturday. The Buccaneer men finished ninth while the women were 10th of 12 teams.
Relay squads paced Beloit at the meet led by the men's 4x200 combination that took gold winning the race by 1.4 seconds in a six-team field. The top 4x200 team representing Beloit finished third with a time of 1:53.54 while a second foursome crossed the line fifth. The women's 4x400 added points to the team total with a clocking of 4:28.85 to finish fifth.
Individually,
Jordyn McDonald bettered her qualifying time to finish seventh in the 60-meter dash finals with a clocking of 8.19. McDonald also finished 12th in the 200 with a time of 27.47. On the men's side,
Ajani Joseph was 11th in the event crossing the line in 23.85.
Carter Browne and
Maggie Baugh each added top 15 finishes placing 11th and 13th respectively in the 3000 while Emiliana Reyes registered a top 10 finish int he shot put launching the shot 12.86 meters for ninth in the event.
