MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Beloit's volleyball team earned their second win of the season Tuesday evening, with a four-set victory at Mount Mary University.
The Buccaneers narrowly won the first set 25-23, before also winning the second set, 25-15. Beloit lost the third frame 25-10, before finishing off the victory with a 25-21 set four victory. Beloit also held the edge in kills (37-30), blocks (5-2), assists (36-27), and digs (101-87).
Katrina Sanchez led Beloit with 13 kills, while
Abbie Schmidt and McKayla Simao led the team in assists and digs with 30 apiece.
Camille Ledoux finished with a match-best three blocks.
Mount Mary was led by Brianna Ecker's 10 kills, while Ava Ramos recorded a match-high four service aces. Ahlyna Carter and Emma White led Mount Mary in digs and assists with 21 and 19, respectively.
Beloit will now get ready to open their 2022 conference season Friday when they'll travel to Illinois College. That match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Jacksonville, Ill.
