BELOIT, Wis. - Knox College defeated Beloit's men's basketball team by a score of 58-47 Saturday afternoon in a game that featured four ties and six lead changes. Knox shot 44 percent (20-46) from the field, while Beloit converted 29 percent (15-52) of their shots.
Beloit (4-12, 1-7 MWC) was led by
Ryan Nixon's 10 points off the bench, while
Semaj Roy added nine points in a reserve role.
Azeez Ganiyu added nine points and nine rebounds. Beloit's becnh outscored Knox's reserves by a 27-11 margin.
Jordan Rayner led Knox (3-12, 1-5 MWC) with a game-high 21 points. Sean Gallery added 11 points and four steals, while Matt Garife scored nine points. Knox outscored Beloit in the paint by a 24-14 margin.
Beloit will try to rebound on Tuesday when they'll host Grinnell College. That game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Flood Arena in Beloit, Wis.
