BELOIT, Wis. - Beloit battled the top team in the Midwest Conference Saturday afternoon, losing to Knox College by a score of 67-54. Knox shot 48 percent (26-54) from the field, as they held the lead from the opening basket.
Elizabeth Kalk led Beloit (6-10, 2-6 MWC) with a game-high 16 points, to go along with eight rebounds, and three steals.
T'Aira Boyance added 10 points and six rebounds, while
Addyson Ciochon scored nine points. The Buccaneers shot 39 percent (24-62) from the field as a team.
Knox (11-4, 6-0 MWC) was led by Catessa Duran's 14 points. Sarina Dacio and Sophie Elstone added 13 and 12 points, respectively, while Kristin Herndon posted eight points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
The Buccaneers will try to rebound on Tuesday when they'll host Grinnell College. That game will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Flood Arena in Beloit, Wis.
