BELOIT, Wis. - This evening the Beloit College Women's soccer team took a break from MWC action to host the Spartans of the University of Dubuque. The Spartans (7-3-1) were looking to get back on track after dropping their last game, while the Bucs (3-6-3) looked to stay in the win column. 

Both teams managed 8 shots, while the Bucs edged out the Spartans on SOG, 6-4. Despite firing two less shots on goal, UD won the game 2-0. 

Dakota Thompson (Island Lake, Ill.) and Lauryn Volza (Albuquerque, N.M.) both recorded 2 SOG. Bri Paez (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Alayna Furch (Saint Charles, Mo.) each had one SOG. 

Briana Arteaga (Covina, Calif.) and Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.) split the goal keeping duties, each recording 45 minutes of action. Arteaga gave up both goals and record 2 saves. 

The Buccaneers return to MWC action on the road this weekend in Galesburg, Ill. against Knox. Kick off on the 14th is set for 11 a.m.
