BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Volleyball team hosted the Knox College Prairie Fire this evening for Friday night MWC action. The Buccaneers (1-15, 0-3) were unable to tame the Prairie Fire (2-13, 1-3) and fell in straight sets, 25-14, 25-19, 25-17. 

Abbie Schmidt (Buckley, Ill.) once again showed up in multiple places for the Bucs, recording 5 kills and leading the way with 16 digs and 14 assists. Kaylee Witte (Poplar Grove, Ill.) led the Bucs' attack, tallying 9 kills. Libero McKayla "Maka" Simao (Sparta, Wis.) served the only ace for BC, along with 15 digs. 

The Buccaneers have to regroup quickly. They host the Fighting Scots of Monmouth College tomorrow at Flood Arena. The match is set to start at 1 p.m.
