BELOIT, Wis. - This evening the Beloit College men's soccer team traveled to Lake Forest, Ill. for a midweek MWC game against the Foresters of Lake Forest College. The Foresters (5-8-2, 3-1-2) set the pace out of the gates and made it hard for the Buccaneers (2-8-2, 2-2-2) to move on the offensive.
The Foresters out shot the Buccaneers 20(11) to 8(6). Fifteen of LFCs 20 shots came in the first 45 minutes of action. With this strong offensive push, the Foresters scored both of their goals during the first half. BC held the edge on shots in the second half but the Bucs were unable to find the back of the net.
Brock Bidwell (Rockford, IL) recorded nine saves in 90 minutes of action for Beloit.
The Buccaneers return to Strong Soccer Complex on Saturday, October 21st for another MWC contest. They host the Grinnell Pioneers. Kick off is set for 1:30 p.m.
