BELOIT, Wis. - Yesterday afternoon the Beloit College Women's soccer team traveled to Lake Forest, Ill. for a contest with the MWC leading Foresters. Unfortunately, the Foresters (7-3-5, 5-0-1) set the tone early and the Buccaneers (4-8-3, 3-1-2) were unable to rebound.
The Foresters scored their first goal in the 9th minute. By the end of the first 45, they had added three more and taken a 4-0 lead into the break. For the Bucs, their offense only managed one shot in the first 45 minutes of action.
Things cooled off offensively for LFC in the second half and the Bucs managed to level the tables a bit. BC still struggled to execute and only fired three shots in the second half. The Foresters scored their 5th and final goal in the 89th minute.
Beloit returns to Strong Complex this Saturday for a rematch of the 2022 MWC Tournament Championship game. The Buccaneers host the Grinnell Pioneers at 11 a.m.
