BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Women's soccer team hosted the Red Hawks of Ripon College this morning for an MWC matchup. The Red Hawks (4-3-3, 0-2-1), searching for their first conference victory, were unable to hold their own against the Bucs (2-6-3, 1-0-2). 

BC held the edge in shots over Ripon, 16(9) to 3(2). After the first 45 minutes of action, both teams had yet to find the back of the net. 

It wasn't until the 74th minute that Abbey Scott (Oswego, Ill.) scored the only goal of the game when she scored off an assist from Cassidy Felix. 

Briana Arteaga (Covina, Calif.) played 81 minutes in goal, securing 2 saves.Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.) came in for the final 8 minutes 

The Buccaneers host the University of Dubuque on Wednesday, October 11th at 4 p.m.
