BELOIT, WIs. - The Beloit College Women's Basketball team hosted the Lakeland University Muskies for their 2023-24 home opener tonight. The Muskies (2-1) got the edge over the Bucs (0-3) in the fourth quarter to take a 67-60 victory.
Elizabeth Kalk (Clinton, Wis.) recorded her first double-double of the season, leading the Buccaneers with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Off the Bench,
Hailey Johnson (South Milwaukee, Wis.) was the team's second leading scorer with 11, including 1-2 from three point range. Beloit struggled shooting from distance, however 38 of their 60 points came in the paint.
Johanna McNair (Fishers, Ind.),
Marlee Young (Beloit, Wis.) and
Kaitlin Davis (Platte City, Mo.) all scored 9 for the Bucs.
The Bucs hit the road for their next game, heading to Auroura, Ill. on Saturday to take on the Aurora University Spartans. Tip off will be at 12pm.
