BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Men's basketball team hosted the Raiders of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) this afternoon. The Buccaneers (3-1) led wire to wire over the Raiders (1-2) and took the win, 76-67. With the win, Beloit is off to their best start in at least 25 years.
The Buccaneers shot just a little better than MSOE from the field, 43 percent vs 41 percent. Their 8-22 from behind the arc, edged the Raiders, who shot just 5-20.
Ryan Nixon (Waukesha, Wis.) was the Buccaneers leading scorer with 18. He also grabbed 4 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and recorded 2 steals and 1 block.
Azeez Ganiyu (Beloit, Wis.) recorded another double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.
Semaj Roy (Chicago, Ill.) was the third Buc in double digits for scoring, scoring 12 points and securing 8 rebounds.
The Buccaneers hit the road once more before Thanksgiving. They head to Aurora, Ill. for a match up with the Aurora University Spartans. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
