Beloit Men Place Seventh, Women Eighth At Ripon Red Hawk Invite

RIPON, Wis. -
Beloit's women's track & field team finished seventh out of 12 collegiate teams, while the Buccaneer men's team finished eighth out of nine. The men finished with 27 points, while the women scored 23 points.

Beloit's men were led by Nate Otis, who finished third in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.10, which was 0.26 seconds shy of the top time. Ajani Joseph also recorded a top-eight finish, placing eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.26. Beloit's men's 4x200 relay team of Joseph, Alexandre Atou, Diontia Charles, and Brandon Joly added a first-place finish with a time of 1:34.01.

On the women's side, Jordyn McDonald finished second in the prelims of the 60 meters with a time of 8.02, before bowing out of the event due to injury. Carter Browne added a fifth-place finish in the 3K with a time of 12:24.66, while teammate Emmeline Russell was sixth in that event with a time of 13:29.94.

Beloit will be in action again on Saturday when they'll travel to Monmouth College to take part in the Roger Haynes Invite in Monmouth, Ill.
