DUBUQUE, Iowa - Beloit's men's lacrosse team lost to University of Dubuque Wednesday night by a score of 23-1. The Buccaneers were also out-shot by the Spartans by a 56-12 margin.
Dubuque (2-3) scored early and often, taking a 6-0 lead into the second quarter. In that period, Beloit (0-4) scored their lone goal of the contest, coming from
Jeffrey Battle on an assist from
Jordan Rice to cut Dubuque's lead to 9-1. The Spartans then scored three more goals before halftime to make the score 12-1. Dubuque would add six more goals in the third and five more in the fourth to cap the scoring.
Beloit Goal Keeper
Cole Conway played the entire game between the pipes, making 18 saves on the night. Dubuque saw three players combine for three saves.
The Buccaneers will be in action again on Saturday when they'll trael to Monmouth College. That game will begin at 1 p.m. in Monmouth, Ill.
